My Hermit Crab died

[glow=red,2,300][/glow] Today is a very sad day. I own 3 hermit crabs and my very first is gone. I saw his dead body and everything. He was the smallest of all of them. I forgot to water & feed him for a number of days and I think that's what did it. I found him dead outside his shell.
I think people are making this all more complicated than it needs to be.
I've had my crabs for about a year. (Since June 15)
I gave them...
Tap water,
gravel,
a sponge (I never changed it)
a bowl of water
a bowl of water with a sponge
a bowl of food
toys
glass cage
5 changes of shells
a little half coconut
half hollowed a trunk of tree
jungle bed and
wire lid
I never washed their cage but 2 times a year
i never "baked" their gravel
I don't give them salt water, I give them filtered tap water.
They're just fine

i know my hermit crab died to and it was not fun i buried my hermit crab raff right beside my window

the best thing to do when you run out of food get some fruit or something healthy
