Over the past year I have been recording different likes/dislikes, molts, food habits, etc.
Ruggies
General- They seem to be very entertaining. They love to be held after destressing. They also are a lovely tank addition.
Friends- They actually seem to hang out with the most with my indo's, but they get along with any species.
Conditions- They seem to like the temp at 72-75 degrees. They like the humidity around 80.
Food- The ruggies that I have seem to love potatoes Question Every other crab has ignored them, not the rugs.
Molting- They molt very sneaky. I did not even notice that my rug was down molting, I thought he was destressing. But he popped up with a new leg, hairy, and with sharp toenails, took about two weeks.
Indo's
General- They seem to be very shy. They like to have other indo's to be around. They also come out very late at night. They do not like my straw's and will stork them.
Friends- They like their species, so two or more is a must. They get along with most, but they get mean with my straws.
Conditions- They seem to like the temp and humidity at 74-78.
Food- I rarely see my indo's eat, but when I do, they do eat! Their favorites include, papaya, mango, and peanut butter.
Molting- All of my indo's have molted very easaly, they like moist sand.
Purple Pincher's
General- The easiest species, but also the most funny to watch. They love to change shells.
Friends- The purple pincher gets along fine with my other crabs of all species.
Conditions- They like the temp and humidity 72-78.
Food- All my purple pincher like anything that's inside a food dish Laughing
Molting- They seem to be more easy to distinguish for pre-molt. They all have molted well with me in moist sand.
Strawberry
General- The most rewarding and expensive species. Laughing They are expensive, but if you have the money and the conditions- GO FOR IT!!
Friends- The straw's like every one in my tank but especially hang out together. So three or more is good.
Conditions- They like their humiditiy and temp 78-81.
Food- Straws are so active, so they seem to eat just a bit more. Who am I kidding they eat ALOT!! Their favorites are seamed carrots and corn, grapefruit, and peanut butter.
Molting- Alot of people have truouble with straw molts. I lost one to a bad molt, but have everyone else molt succesfully twice. They like to dig for fun as well, not just to molt.

Well, that was fun to Type!!!! lol. I hope you enjoyed that. I do not have E's or Cavipe's because I do not have E's, and my one cavipe passed Crying or Very sad in the middle to to PPS. Please leave comments!!!
