1. Do NOt use tap water
2. Put humidity gauge in the sand. Do NOt bury it. Make sure it is away water pools and UTHs.
3. humidity: 70-84 % relative
4. Temperature: 70-80 Fahrenheit
5. Dropping limbs is caused by stress. Tap water and other stuff stresses them out.
6. To bath them, use dechlorinated or bottled spring water. Make sure it is warm, but not hot, just right for them. Cold water causes lethargy, and sometimes death.
7. There are more than 1 species of hermit crab. Research before getting species other than purple pinchers.
8. hermit crabs like to hide and climb.
9. Do NOt use commercial foods because every commercial food has bad stuff in.
10. Sand must be AT LEAST 1 INCH MORE than the height of the biggest hermit crab.
