Don't sweat it. Hermit crabs often wet the sand, especially when preparing to molt or de-stress, which involves them creating tunnels underneath the sand. A little water will not harm your hermit crabs, as long as you don't use Calci-Sand. If you do, I recommend switching to playsand ASAP. I don't recommend Calci-Sand at all, because it's not only ridiculously expensive, but it gets disgusting when wet, also.

Of course, if your crabs are already dug under, and you're using Calci-Sand, wait till they come back up. If you have any more hermit crab care questions, e-mail them to me at landhermitcrab2006{at}hotmail{dot}com. I rarely check this site, anymore. I also have another forum, but I haven't really got it going much, yet: hermitcrabadoption.proboards.com/I also don't visit that one often, because I'm usually busy with other things.
